The Washington Township Board of Supervisors are pleased to announce that the traffic signal and intersection improvement project for the Route 100/Barto Road intersection is set to begin on August 21, 2017. The project is expected to last several months and is planned to be completed by the end of October.
In addition to the traffic light the project will include pedestrian accommodations, road widening, stormwater improvements and left turn lanes for both north and south bound Route 100.
We appreciate your patience and understanding to get to this point of this long awaited and much needed project. As with all construction projects, there will be some temporary inconveniences. We ask for your patience and understanding during the construction phase.
In the event you have any concerns during the project, please direct them to myself at 610-845-7760. The Township will bring the concerns to the contractor and PennDOT and make accommodations where possible.
So, plan to see equipment being mobilized, traffic control measures in place and construction activities on the roadway soon!
Rich Sichler, Township Manager
