To be compliant with PA Health Department and CDC Guidelines, and the Governor’s and Health Secretary’s directives, the following protocols will be in place for public meetings until further notice:
A face covering is required for all attendees
Body temperature will be taken prior to meeting admission for all attendees. Those with an indicated body temperature of 100.4 degrees F or greater will not be allowed entrance.
Only 10 total people will be allowed into a meeting at one time. Meeting agendas and previous meeting minutes will be available outside of the meeting room.
If you are unable to attend or are denied access to a meeting please forward your public comments to the Township Manager using mail, the drop box located in front of the Township Building, or firstname.lastname@example.org

Due to the rapidly evolving coronavirus #COVID19 situation, the Berks County Department of Emergency Services is providing current information and recommendations. Please visit their web page to stay up to date.
All Township Correspondence, payments, etc… should be either mailed or placed in the black lock box at the main entrance of the building. If you would like a receipt, please include an addressed, stamped envelope with your payment.
Any other Township Business must be done by appointment only. Thank You!
The May Meetings of the Planning Commission, Recreation Board, Transportation Committee and the Environmental Advisory Council are Cancelled.
There will be No Recycling Events at the Red Barn Recycling Center during May.
Tax Collection Changes
The Washington Township Office is now closed to the public.
All taxpayers are to mail their local tax payments to Brenda Breidigan, Washington Township Tax Collector at 2025 Old Route 100, Bechtelsville, PA 19505.
Tax payments can also be placed in the black lock drop box located in front of the Washington Township Building at 120 Barto Road, Barto, PA 19504.
If you would like a receipt, please include an addressed, stamped envelope with your payment.
